ABOUT me
Hi – I’m Ali.
Over the past few years as a freelancer, I’ve carved out a unique niche in the publishing industry by combining design expertise with marketing insight. My work goes beyond traditional design support – I collaborate with publishers on full campaigns, delivering everything from Meta advertising, campaign booking, partnerships, proof covers, and standout social assets to engaging animations, pitch decks, sales catalogues, and corporate communications.
I’ve had the privilege of leading the marketing for a number of bestsellers, including Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before? by Dr. Julie (the Sunday Times #1 bestselling book of 2022), The Audacity by Katherine Ryan, and Parenting Hell by Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett.
More recently, I’ve shifted focus from 360 campaign management to exploring what great book visuals can be; crafting imagery that’s bold, story-driven, and emotionally resonant. My aim is to ensure every design not only grabs attention but also amplifies the story it supports.
This evolution has allowed me to bring even more creative energy to powerful campaigns; producing imagery for authors including Elizabeth Gilbert, Patricia Lockwood, Ava Reid, Sarah J. Maas, Samantha Shannon, and Juno Dawson. No matter the scale of the project, my goal remains the same: to create something that feels like it belongs on a billboard, a poster in the Underground, or lighting up Piccadilly Circus.
With the brain of a marketer and the creativity of a designer, I thrive on collaborating with publishers and marketers to deliver campaigns that are both strategically sharp and creatively driven.
